Evidently, Google isn't quite ready to unveil the next version of Android, which makes sense when compared to the historical timeline and release schedule. Google reportedly updated its Android Developer website with the full developer preview for Android 11. The first Android 11 rumors are already here, as the operating system has been spotted running on an old Pixel 2 model. Sadly, all the external pages it links to have yet to be updated, including the list of changes present in Android 11 and the page to register devices. The developer preview for the previous iteration was held in March, so Google might have been sitting on the event for a while now.
New features and APIS - APIs for foldables, sharing, connectivity, media, NNAPI, biometrics, and more. Time to dust of your Pixels and get them ready to test out some of the new goodies that Google will bring with Android 11.
Of course, since the company hasn't made any official announcements on this issue yet, the change was nearly certainly a mistake on someone's part, and Google has now taken down the Android Developer Preview page in its entirety. Privacy, foldable and Vulkan features are carried over from the Android Q days.
