Todd Monken is the new offensive coordinator at Georgia, which could help the Bulldogs join the new-age football that has infiltrated the Southeastern Conference.
This morning, per Seth Emerson of The Athletic, the Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart hired Monken to presumably be the offensive coordinator in Athens. And despite having Jake Fromm at QB in 2019 Georgia's passing offense wasn't exactly dynamic in Coley's first season as offensive coordinator. A report about the dysfunction in Cleveland last season said that Monken would tell opponents before games that the team was a "total mess", which seems like the kind of thing people deny even though it's apparent to anyone with two functioning eyes. He went to Tampa Bay from Southern Mississippi, where he spent three seasons (2013-15) as head coach and compiled a 13-25 record. Before Southern Miss, Monken had been an assistant at LSU and Oklahoma State.
Monken will take over playcalling duties for the Bulldogs this coming season, after their offense struggled at times in 2019.

Pakistan recall veteran duo for Bangladesh T20 series
Thus his exclusion from the T20I side is not very surprising although Mohammad Amir thinks otherwise. The left-arm pacer has picked 18 wickets in 12 matches with the best figures of 6/17.
Monken's reported arrival to Athens signals a potentially big shift in the way Georgia's offense will be run in 2020.
Georgia football's took to twitter to welcome its new OC. Georgia was fifth in the SEC in scoring (30.8 points per game), total offense (408.1 yards), passing (223.0) and rushing (185.1). The Eagles also averaged almost 74 plays per game; six more than Georgia averaged in 2019. The Bulldogs already have Wake Forest graduate transfer quarterback Jamie Newman to replace Fromm. Fromm, Swift and three offensive linemen are leaving early to enter the National Football League draft. While Alabama and LSU have gone to the spread offenses that swept most of the nation years ago, Georgia has been slow to jump aboard. Georgia, however, has stayed true to the more traditional pro-style offense that dominated the SEC for so long. By his final season in 2015, the Southern Miss offense was throwing 531 times for 4,616 yards, 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
