Syrian regime forces and armed groups were locked in heavy clashes on Monday on the edge of Syria's last opposition bastion, with at least 96 fighters killed over two days, a war monitor said.
The airstrike came amid an increase of violence in the Idlib province, the country's last opposition stronghold. Both said eight children were killed in the shelling.

The Observatory said an attack led by Syria's former al-Qaeda affiliate on several government positions had sparked the fighting.
A field report said rebels had captured four towns from the Syrian army after catching them off guard.
On Monday, the Observatory said Russian forces had deployed inside Amuda and around one kilometre to the west of town.
Air strikes on Sunday afternoon hit rebel areas dozens of kilometres from the main front lines, signalling a potential escalation.
At least nine people were killed in Maaret al-Numan and one person died in Saraqeb, according to Ahmed Sheikho, a spokesperson for the Civil Defence.
The Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) alliance also controls parts of neighbouring Aleppo and Latakia provinces, with battles also now taking place in the latter, according to the monitor.
The Observatory estimates that 4,775 people have been killed since President Bashar Assad's government began a military offensive in April against opposition-held areas, including in Idlib province.
Assad has repeatedly vowed to reclaim all of Syria, including Idlib, which he views as a "terrorist" holdout.
