It's true that wireless CarPlay availability could increase to more mainstream brands within the next two years, but still does nothing to placate those with relatively new vehicles with "standard" CarPlay connectivity. However, reports emerged earlier this year about a potential iPhone SE2 and earlier this week there were whispers about a potential fifth model.
Alongside the lack of a headphone port - remember the fuss that caused, but we all came around in the end - there will be no Lightning port to power up your shiny new iPhone.
Apple plans to launch five new iPhone models in 2020, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's latest prediction.
We wouldnt see such an iPhone until 2021, but the prospect of removing the Lightning port would make for a completely wireless experience. Renowned tipster and Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo recently said that a budget iPhone will arrive in first half of 2020.
While many USB-C stans were hoping that it would be coming to the iPhone, it seems that Apple would rather skip this step altogether and move towards a completely wireless future.
BMW Realizing Their Mistake With Apple CarPlay
The German auto maker chose to charge $300 to include the feature, which then turned into a $80-a-year subscription. BMW has removed the three-year subscription plan for Apple CarPlay - and existing owners won't miss out.
US Catholic Priest Blamed for Mishandling Complaints Quits
The bishops have generally denied the allegations against them. "My job is not to meet with Bishop Malone", Scharfenberger said. The Vatican hasn't released the results of the inquiry into Buffalo that was conducted by Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio.
The Game Awards 2019 will have ten new game announcements
But despite seeming to be nearly a shoe-in, given the recent leak of artwork onto PSN, Resident Evil 3 will not be there. The Game Awards are the ultimate spot for announcements related to the world of gaming other than E3.
So, no headphone port and no Lightning port. In addition to this, Kuo suggests that Apple will launch its biggest iPhone as well in 2020.
One feature Apple's upcoming iPhone 9 will not have is support for 5G. Initially, we can expect devices with iPhone 4-esque designs across a variety of screen sizes including 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, 6.7-inch, and a new 4.7-inch iPhone SE 2 which I guess will have to do.
How attached are you to your iPhone's Lightning port?
Kuo stated that the 5.4-inch OLED iPhone will have a dual-camera setup on the rear camera, the lower-end 6.1-inch iPhone will have a similar dual-camera system but the higher-end 6.1-inch model and the 6.7-inch model will have a triple-lens camera system as well as time-of-flight 3D sensing technology.
Kuo predicts the iPhone SE 2 will also be available with two storage tiers, a 64 GB version and a 128 GB version, and feature colors like space gray, silver, and product red. In light of the fact that the device will boast a 4.7-inch display along with Touch ID - as opposed to Face ID - it's clear that the device will not feature an edgeless display.
