AT&T is finally all set to launch Low Band 5G Network in 10 United States cities today, the company starts to sell $1300 Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G to connect with the 5G network in the coverage areas. With areas for the initial launch including Indianapolis, San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Birmingham, Alabama; Providence, Rhode Island; Rochester, New York; and San Jose, California.
Additionally, customers who travel outside our available 5G coverage area with a compatible 5G device will have confidence in knowing they will still be able to connect to the nation's best and also the fastest network on AT&T 5G Evolution and LTE.
It's somewhat frustrating that it's even necessary to clarify the difference between AT&T's newly deployed 5G coverage and other aspects of the company's network, but because of AT&T's confusing 5G branding, here we are. While there has been no firm schedule, AT&T says it will activate the network "soon" and is working "to offer national coverage in the first half of 2020".
The mmWave 5G+ flavor of 5G has been around for a year and is live in parts of 23 cities so far.

AT&T 5G launch comes after T-Mobile launched its 5G network last week.
Support for 5G required that customers have either AT&T's Unlimited Extra or Unlimited Elite plans ($75 or $85 per month for a single line), but it'll be offered at no extra charge for those customers. AT&T calls this 5G+.
However, just like with 5G announcements from other carriers, unless you are a true bleeding edge 5G enthusiast, I'd caution that it's still a bit too early to invest in a 5G phone.
"Today's launch sets the stage for the development of new and immersive experiences as we prepare to deliver AT&T 5G nationwide in the coming months", Petersen said. AT&T Technology Operations' President Scott Mair said, "We believe 5G technology will be game-changing, and we continue to help drive this next wave of innovation".
