The company has revealed that the Cortana app will stop working after January 31st, 2020 for people in Australia, Canada and the UK. Users, however, can access these features through Cortana on Windows. However, after the initial popularity, the app faded down and failed to compete with other digital assistants. At that point, the Cortana content you created-such as reminders and lists-will no longer function in the Cortana mobile app or Microsoft Launcher, but can still be accessed through Cortana on Windows.

The company notes that users may still access reminders and lists through Cortana on Windows, and that reminders, lists and tasks are synced automatically to the Microsoft To Do application which is available for mobile devices. There were a lot of speculations over the past few months regarding whether Microsoft will pull out Cortana. Since the launch, Microsoft has integrated the Cortana digital assistant with a slew of its applications and services including Skype and Outlook. It is still not confirmed whether or not the Cortana app will be available in the US. The move is not the end of Cortana as Microsoft plans to establish it as an Enterprise/Business solution. Cortana will carry on - but you may have to change your habits if you want to keep using it.
