How to change Alexa's voice, language or accent

Nobody would accuse Amazon's voice assistant of being particularly expressive, but there are days when even Alexa's mild, neutral default tone feels like an affront to your mood.
Well, sort of. Amazon announced "Alexa emotions" on Wednesday, which let developers make Alexa sound "happy/excited" or "disappointed/empathetic".
On the Alexa Skills Kit Blog, Amazon details these new emotions and speaking styles, which are powered by the company's Neural Text-to-Speech tech. The NHS touts the initiative as particularly helpful for elderly patients, blind patients and those who can not access the internet.
The e-commerce giant has been lately trying to explore the growing healthcare market and the recent move is in a bid to give millions of its Alexa users another facility. Whispering and a newscaster speaking style have both been added to Alexa's vocal repertoire in the past two years, and it seems Amazon is continuing its effort to further specialize Alexa's voice. Amazon has partnered with an adherence tool provider Ominicell to enable the feature.
The medication management features use multiple layers of verification to ensure that only consumers are able to access their prescription information via Alexa, she said. If the voice profile or personal passcode does not match with the account, information will not be relayed.

One thing to keep in mind, if youre really looking to switch languages: Alexa now speaks in multilingual mode in three countries: English and Spanish in the US, Indian English and Hindi in India, and Canadian English and French in Canada. Unfortunately, Amazon hasnt chosen to make that an option yet.
