In the US, Stadia Pro will cost $9.99/month when it launches in November, and the catalog will include Destiny 2 with all of its DLCs. More devices are slated to be added in 2020. Of course, Google will need a lot of high-quality games to convince consumers to give Stadia a try, but the low-entry price for the Stadia Founder's Edition is certainly appealing for what will be the first next-gen video games platform to launch later this year.
And, while these bandwidth ranges are also well within what a solid LTE service can provide, at least for now Google is pushing people towards using heartier, non-cellular connections for the service, telling The Verge "You should not expect your existing cellular connection to work".
Things will get a bit better in 2020 when Google launches a free tier of Stadia called "Stadia Base". That's likely in Canadian dollars, so could end up being around $10 United States or £10 in the UK. With Comcast's 1 TB per month data plan, Stadia subscribers will reach that limit with just 65 hours of game time at 4K.
For now, the games which will be there to purchase, or play as part of the subscription's free games that are going to be included on a regular basis, will potentially be just a fraction of the new games coming out elsewhere.
Stadia Pro also allows members to access the full Destiny 2 experience including the base game, previous add-ons and all DLC up to and including Shadowkeep. Basic users, on the other hand, are capped at 1080p at 60fps, all with stereo sound.
If some game platform makers are to be believed, streaming is the future off the industry.
