Motorola launched its much-awaited foldable phone Razr today at an event in Los Angles.
But bringing back the flip phone isn't only a desperate plea to cash in on our affection for a dearly departed brand.
"The Motorola Razr V3 was an extraordinary device", recalled Mr Wood.
The clamshell phone has a 6.2-inch display that folds in. When looking at the display as I folded the phone close, I could see a small gap between the screen and the phone's housing just before it fully closed. There is no visible crease on the screen when it folds and unfolds which shows that Motorola has worked well on the hinges. Like the original Razr, the 2019 model has a chin at the bottom that houses electronics such as the LTE antenna.it also has a notch at the top of the main display, lacks a headphone jack, and will be available only in black and with 128GB of storage without further upgrade options. Below the Quick View display is its rear-mounted 16-megapixel f/1.7 aperture camera with features like dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, Dual Pixel autofocus, Night Vision mode and EIS. It will be available in Verizon stores, at select Walmart stores, and on motorola.com in January, and in Canada in early 2020. Interestingly enough, Moto Razr comes with e-SIM. After an hour of practice, I still couldn't get my one-handed close to produce a satisfactory snap. The company has described the patent-protected zero-gap hinge. But aside from the screen, the new Razr's appeal is more nostalgia than cutting-edge tech.
Death toll surges as Israel-Gaza violence enters third day
In Gaza, residents surveyed damage and mourned the dead outside a mortuary and at funerals. It was the second election since April, when polls also ended inconclusively.
A Brief Explanation Of Facebook's Scary New iPhone Bug
Reached for comment, Facebook confirmed the bug was "inadvertently introduced" and promised a fix was in the works. It appears Facebook might be actively using your camera without your knowledge while you're scrolling your feed.
Statement from Sportsnet regarding Don Cherry
British immigrant Lauren Dobson-Hughes, a political consultant and former Planned Parenthood official in Ottawa, denounced Cherry. It suggested that they were cutting costs because of the contract, but the network says it's still a fantastic business deal.
In my time with the phone, I didn't find the bulky bit awkward - it actually makes it a little easier to hold the curved glass in your hands - but I can easily see it being a controversial choice to some. It is an upgraded version although the design is really reminiscent of the original Moto flip phone.
The new Razr runs Android, and has a foldable display. Is it worth the $1500 price tag?
There's a couple other things you should know about the Razr. And even the trip back to 2004 makes it hard to justify.
Though we dive into the specs of the Razr foldable down below, let's talk pricing first. It's a welcome relief from the seas of me-too iPhone clones. If you decide you'd rather open the phone and use it more like a regular camera, you only have to flip it open and the full camera app is already running and ready for action.
A Motorola executive told me it's created to prevent debris from getting stuck in that gap, which was a big issue with the Galaxy Fold, though I'd have to spend more time with the phone to confirm.
