Pulitzer-winning journalist Ronan Farrow claims in his new book, "Catch and Kill", that NBC executives knew about sexual misconduct allegations against Lauer before 2017 and tried to keep it quiet while stopping him from reporting on similar allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein. Former Today host, Lauer, lost his job in November 2017 after a complaint of he inappropriate sexual behavior during the 2014 Sochi Olympics in Russian Federation was made. Lauer was ultimately dismissed from NBC as a result of those allegations.
Kelly and Carlson had plenty to discuss during their Wednesday interview, particularly as new allegations continue to surface from Ronan Farrow's new book, Catch and Kill. "It has to stop and Comcast, the parent company of NBC, has to now finally launch a real investigation, because Ronan is reporting, among other things, that NBC apparently did know that Matt was a problem".
