Just days after launching the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A in India, Xiaomi is now set to launch its first 64 MP camera smartphone in India today. Rolling out smartphones Redmi note 8, Redmi note 8 pro and the MIUI11, the company said in a statement that it looks to disrupt the smartphone segment all over again.
Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with 2340x1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91.4 % screen to body ratio, 3D curved glass design, waterdrop-style notch, TUV Rheinland eye certification and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The spec-heavy handset features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display, up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Indian unit also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot.
Moreover, for better gaming the phone also has a liquid cool technology to reduce the system's temperature and an additional WiFi X antenna to reduce interruptions. It has an AI quad rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel Samsung Bright GW1 ISOCELL sensor, 8-megapixel Ultra Wide lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and another 2-megapixel macro lens. This version comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The highlights of the device along with 64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP rear cameras include a MediaTek Helio G90T gaming processor and 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

Xiaomi aims to offer a more minimalist design with the new MIUI 11.
Apart from phones, Xiaomi also launched the "Mi Air Purifier 2C" at a price of Rs 6,499.
MIUI 11 also updates the native Mi Calculator app, which can now be used in a floating window for improved multitasking. There's also a new keyboard introduced by Xiaomi called "The Mint Keyboard" in partnership with Bobble. Starting today, it will be available on its website, e-commerce sites Flipkart, Amazon and in offline stores including Mi Homes.
