There are a few ways to watch the September 4 Nintendo Direct online. One of the most overlooked games in the Nintendo 64's library, this title has been highly requested for a re-release for almost 20 years now. While new games aren't expected to be announced, the stream features 40 minutes of information.
Keep in mind that in its promotional materials, Nintendo says that this Direct will cover games releasing within 2019, which narrows down the list of what we expect to see during the show. Though the product was delisted quickly, an Overwatch case got people talking. Fans of the popular team shooter have long hoped for a Switch port, since it's the only major platform without Overwatch - and now it's finally happening. But today, the folks over at Resetera got there hands on a list of European retail release dates, and wouldn't you know it, a Nintendo Switch version of Overwatch is slotted in for an october 18 release.
A new Nintendo Direct presentation is coming tomorrow. Though Nintendo claimed the Direct would be focused on Luigi's Mansion, Smash Ultimate, and Pokemon Sword & Shield, it wouldn't be unlike them to slip in a few (would-be) surprises like Overwatch on the Switch.
It looks pretty nailed down now that Overwatch is making its debut on the console next month. We might also be introduced to a new Gym leader or plot details as well.
The show starts at 3 PM Pacific/6 PM Eastern, so be sure to tune in around then to make sure you don't miss an announcement.
