"The LROC team will analyse these new images and compare them to previous images to see if the lander is visible (it may be in shadow or outside the imaged area)".
ISRO chief K Sivan on Thursday said the Chandrayaan 2 orbiter was doing well but there had been no communication from lander Vikram.
Vikram was traveling at a horizontal speed of 157 feet (48 meters) per second and descending 197 feet per second, just over half a mile from the landing point, according to US-based organization The Planetary Society.
It has been trying to contact Vikram since.
LRO has passed over the region only once since the landing attempt, and at the time, the sun was setting, casting stark shadows that imaging specialists knew in advance could prevent the orbiter from spotting Vikram.

He said the country's space agency has a series of missions lined up in coming months and years.
Despite the orbiter's high-resolution images, NASA stated that since it was dusk when the image was captured, large shadows prevented a clear image of the terrain, adding that "it was possible that the Vikram lander is hiding in a shadow".
"The precise location of the spacecraft in the lunar highlands has yet to be determined".
"A national level committee has been formed to find out what went wrong with (Vikram) lander".
On September 21, ISRO said that it would no longer be attempting to contact Vikram since the 14-day mission life of the lander expired that day. Out of the 38 global attempts of "soft landing" on the lunar surface, only 20 have been successful.
The space agency announced that the Chandrayaan-2 mission, despite Vikram having a crash landing, had achieved 98% of its objectives.
On Friday, Nasa tweeted the images of the targeted landing site of the Indian module.
"The most important mission for us is "Gaganyaan", the manned mission to the space". The lighting conditions are expected to be more favourable then, John Keller, Deputy Project Scientist Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Mission, Goddard Space Flight Centre told PTI.
