Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin are reportedly divorcing after thirty years of marriage. Todd Palin, 55, cited an "incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife", in a document filed Friday in Anchorage, according to the Anchorage Daily News. The couple also shares four older children: Track, Willow, Piper, and former Teen Mom OG star Bristol Palin.
Todd Palin seeks joint custody of Trig, who has special needs. He also wants an "equitable division" of marital debts and assets.
Unlike Sarah, Todd has remained relatively low key and out of the spotlight. She joined late Senator John McCain's ticket as vice president.
Sarah has continued to make headlines since she burst onto the national political scene during the 2008 campaign.

Conservative actor Dean Cain told People that he recently dined with the estranged couple and had no idea that there was any split looming. "It seemed like the lies would never let up", Sarah said in 2010.
Alaska media outlets reacted to the filing by reporting the divorcing parties to be the Palins.
Medred reported that the couple had been scheduled to appear together at a motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, in early August, but Todd Palin was absent.
In 2014, several members of the family were involved in a drunken brawl at an Anchorage house party that, per two stories by The Washington Post, left Todd Palin with a bloody nose and Track, Todd and Sarah's oldest child, shirtless and "belligerent". The National Enquirer, back for more potential Palin scandal, claimed that the alleged affair almost destroyed each of their marriages.
