A storm system is just barely clipping the Jersey Shore on this Tuesday morning, spitting out some showers along our coastal counties.
The National Weather Service cautions strong to severe storms are possible Wednesday.
Thunderstorm chances return to the forecast Wednesday and persist each afternoon for the rest of the work week. By the time we reach tomorrow, we are expecting some afternoon showers and storms. However, after 6PM, the rain coverage will increase.1st for areas closest to the Ohio River.then for inland areas near and south of I-65 as night falls. A weak front will move through the state today and again on Wednesday. This will mean a cooler day around the region, with highs around 80 in the metro, and perhaps upper 70s for areas north of the metro. Drier weather and warm temperatures are expected for the weekend, with high temperatures in the upper 80s to around 90°. Highs in the low 90s.
