Jon Rahm claimed his second Irish Open title in just three years on Sunday at Lahinch Golf Club with a final round 62 to get to 16-under-par.
Rahm will now be one of the favourites at Port Rush later this month as he moved back into the top 10 in the world and moved into top spot of the Race to Dubai.
After covering the front nine in 31, Rahm birdied the 10th and holed from 25 feet for an eagle on the 12th before recovering from a bogey on the next with birdies on the 14th, 15th and 17th. One shot back are fellow Englishman Eddie Pepperell and Spain's Rafa Cabrera Bello.
Rock, Wiesberger and Sharvin now occupy the positions of the first three golfers not already exempt for the major but the Ardglass man will need another good round tomorrow to secure his spot in the first Open to be played in Northern Ireland since Portrush staged it in 1951.
