Another angle of the render. This is significantly more secure than just a picture as it's far less likely to be spoofed. I spy three lenses! Notice how there appears to be only a single-camera on the device instead of two like the Pixel 3-series. Moreover, all Soli sensor data that is processed on the Pixel 4 will not be saved or shared with other Google services.
It's pretty easy to piece the two halves together. If it doesn't you may well be left with a phone that is hard to unlock. The Soli radar in the Pixel needs the motion data to tell it when to activate face unlock. You can use this feature to skip songs, snooze alarms, and silence phone calls, just by waving your hand. These capabilities are said to expand over time, though Motion Sense may not be available in all countries. In a blog post, Google explains that it's been working on Soli, a motion-sensing radar that is typically used to detect planes and other large objects. The phone has a raft of sensors up there. Google is calling this "Motion Sense" and it will be a first for Pixel phones. Soli operates in the 57- to 64-GHz frequency band, and in the US, Google had to get the FCC to lift power limitations in those bands so Soli could work better.
The Pixel 4 is shaping up to be an interesting device and we have a feeling it may even launch earlier than its predecessor.

Among other features of the Pixel 4, we already knew it will feature the first dual-lens camera in the line's history. That will then proactively turn on the face unlock sensors that are also integrated into the top bezel.
On the left side, there's a front-facing camera. That's nothing compared with the Pixel 4. But the Pixel 4's facial recognition will seemingly be more efficient and seamless. In the blog post they also revealed that the Pixel 4 will have a feature called "Motion Sense", which confirms that it will have the much rumored Project Soli chip that uses radar to detect hand gestures near the phone.
Last year, with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Google just couldn't stop the leaks from coming out in hordes, and this time, it looks like Google has decided "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" and has been leaking its own phone. Google shared a picture of all the sensors included at the top of the device, and it features three different components for the face unlock feature.
