The British band on Tuesday released hours of previously unheard music that it said was stolen by someone seeking ransom. For the next 18 days, purchases of Radiohead's MINIDISCS [HACKED] on Bandcamp-for a minimum donation of £18 (or $22.81)-will go toward global conservation movement Extinction Rebellion.
Fans can buy the music for £18 (about $30 Cdn) for the next 18 days.
"Instead of complaining-much-or ignoring it, we're releasing all 18 hours on Bandcamp in aid of Extinction Rebellion", Radiohead write in a social media statement, naming the environmental activist group as the beneficiary.
The MiniDisc recordings, titled "MD111" through "MD128", were, according to Greenwood, "Never intended for public consumption... only tangentially interesting".

Manchester United confirm signing of Daniel James
James, who had just 12 months left on his contract, scored five goals in 37 games for Swansea last season as the Welsh side finished 10th in the Championship.
A few selections from the set, which consists primarily of alternate versions of songs from the album, as well as tunes that were not issued until years later, were released on the 20th anniversary reissue of the album, "OKNOTOK".
You can listen to the sessions below and download them for £18 at Bandcamp.
A note from Yorke on the Bandcamp page says: 'We've been hacked. The band uploaded almost 18 hours of recordings from the OK Computer sessions, now titled MINIDISCS [HACKED], onto their Bandcamp page, asking £18 (~$22). Not a phone download.' He added: 'Rainy out, isn't it though?'
From now until June 28th, you'll be able to spend £18 ($23) to, in the words of Greenwood "find out if we should have paid that ransom".
