While it might sound unbelievable, it does look like Sonos is telling the truth when it says these speakers will be the first on the market that allows users to choose which assistant to use within one system. It's going to be a bit confusing, so hopefully Sonos does a good job at explaining it.
Having interoperability between different voice assistants could prove very lucrative for the company, especially if customers value flexibility in their smart home products as much as Sonos is clearly hoping. What it can't do - for now - is give you access to both assistants from the same Sonos smart speaker. As it is able to control your TV through that port and not the regular soundbar port on the back. That will certainly up the appeal of the Sonos One and Beam.
