Born in South Africa, he played 13 one-day internationals and eight Twenty20s for Scotland between 2015 and 2017 and spent two seasons with Northamptonshire in 2012 and 2013. His only five-for in ODIs came in a memorable win for Scotland against Zimbabwe, the side's first ODI victory against a Full Member.
Scotland left-arm spinner Con de Lange died on Thursday, aged 38.
In October 2018, Cricket Scotland had launched a fund-raising appeal for de Lange, who had undergone various forms of medical treatment - including an operation, radiation and chemotherapy - in an effort to battle the illness.
South Africa born worldwide cricketer Con de Lange has succumbed to brain tumor after fighting with the illness for more than a year, de Lange was 38 years old and played 13 one-day internationals and 8 Twenty-20 internationals for Scotland.
"Con's death at such an early age is a tragedy", said chair of Cricket Scotland Tony Brian.
De Lange began his cricket career in his native South Africa in 1998, playing for Knights and Free State and had two years with Northants before playing for Ferguslie and Clydesdale in Scotland. At the time, Malcolm Cannon, Cricket Scotland CEO, said: "Con has been a superb servant to the game of cricket in Scotland and is a very popular member of the squad".
