A heat map by outage monitor Down Detector shows that the social media platforms are now down in Europe, including Malta, the Western United States and parts of South-East Asia.
Sunday's outage is yet another publicity problem for a company already dealing with privacy issues and regulatory probes. As per the outage map, most reports have come in from Europe. Either users couldn't access the platform, or their feeds refused to refresh.
