In his first interview since he was jailed last month, R. Kelly says the charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse are all lies.
The criminal charges in IL followed increasing scrutiny and protests over allegations of Kelly's abuse of young girls and women, including parents who publicly accused Kelly of holding women against their will in what was described as an abusive and controlling "cult", and a new documentary, Surviving R Kelly, in which women who said they had been victimized by the singer shared their stories.
"But the past is relevant to you with underage girls", states King. "All you have to do is push a button on your phone and say so and so did this to me, R. Kelly did this to me, and if you get any traction from that, if you're able to write a book from that, if you're able to get a reality show... then any girl that I had a relationship in the past that it just didn't work out, she can come and say the same exact thing".
In Tuesday's tense interview, Kelly at times suggested the allegations against him were absurd, appealing to viewer's "common sense", and at other times said it was unfair to constantly return to his history. "Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me". Hate me if you want to, love me if you want.
Kelly called claims that he held women against their will "stupid", and that "the power of social media" was to blame. "They're old rumours, new rumours, future rumours". "How stupid would it be for me, with my insane past and what I've been through - oh, right now I just think I need to be a monster, and hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don't let them eat, and don't let them out".

Modric: We miss Ronaldo but back Bale
He insisted that the inconsistent form of Real Madrid's front-three has been the "biggest problem this season". In comparison, Madrid had scored an average of 70 goals at the same stage during Ronaldo's time at the club.
The full interview is set to air on CBS.
"Stop it. You all quit playing!" he shouted. Quit playing! I didn't do this stuff! "Listen, we been knew R.Kelly was a trash-dwelling monster but if you need more proof: the man dared to lift a finger at Gayle King", tweeted @KathleenNB. Kelly has pleaded not guilty on 10 counts of sexually abusing four women, three of whom were underage teens at the time. "I'm fighting for my f-cking life". "When you beat your case, you beat your case".
King tried to interject, but Kelly stood up, screaming and pounding his fists. "What kind of father, what kind of mother, will sell their daughter to a man?" We can double-jeopardy me like that, it's not fair.
"There are older men that like younger women, there are older women that like younger men", he said.
