Washington reportedly will acquire quarterback Case Keenum, along with a seventh-round pick, from the Denver Broncos in exchange for a sixth-round pick, according to multiple reports. As part of the deal, the Broncos agreed to give Keenum a $500,000 restructuring bonus, while the Redskins agreed to cover half of his remaining $7 million in guaranteed salary. Washington paid big money to Alex Smith a year ago, but he suffered a gruesome leg injury, and he isn't expected to return in 2019. Washington will pay him the other $3.5 million.
The Redskins will be Keenum's fifth NFL team since he entered the league as a free agent in 2012.Читайте также: Paul Manafort faces 1st sentencing for financial crimes
After a terrific season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017, Keenum scored a big contract with the Broncos but severely underperformed.
For the Eagles, it provides decent but not great quarterbacks to prepare for twice next season, with Jim Schwartz and company now knowing that they'll face Colt McCoy or Case Keenum. He guided the Broncos to a 6-10 record past year, throwing for 3,890 yards, 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Flacco's deal is coupled with the opportunity to start in Denver, which relegated Keenum to the bench - a position he didn't sign up for when he inked a two-year contract with the Broncos last year.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
