- Wells Fargo says it's experiencing a nationwide issue related to its online banking and mobile app.
The bank apologized to customers for any inconvenience caused by the system issues, and said it would reverse any Wells Fargo fees incurred as a result of the issues.
"We're experiencing a system issue that is causing intermittent outages, and we're working to restore services as soon as possible", the bank's site said.

In December, BB&T said it was eliminating its Center City Allentown regional headquarters as well as positions held by Scott V. SunTrust was already the region's largest bank before the merger announcement, with about 21 percent of the area's deposits.

The issue started to become apparent in the early hours before spiking at around 8 a.m. (ET); by noon, the banking service still wasn't back to full operations.
Wells Fargo customers were tweeting about the issues they were experiencing and some were saying that they could not gain access to their money through ATMs and that their debit cards weren't working either.
More details to come. There are also reports of cards being rejected by cash machines and stores. Other said this is the second time in as many days that they've had difficulty accessing their accounts.
Wells Fargo on Thursday blamed the technical issues on smoke, which was "detected following routine maintenance".
