R Kelly appeared in a Chicago courtroom on Monday where his lawyer formally entered a not guilty plea on his behalf to 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. According to that ruling, Kelly has to pay up by March 6th or find himself in jail - but of course, now he's already in jail with a $1 million bond on multiple charges of sexual abuse. To leave custody he'd have to pay 10 percent of the total, or $100,000 - but he couldn't come up with the cash, with Greenberg alluding to financial problems.
Kelly's DNA was found in semen on one of the accuser's shirts, and semen found on a shirt worn by another was submitted for DNA testing, Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx said.
R. Kelly escorted by his attorney Steve Greenberg out of the Cook County Jail in Chicago, Illinois on February 26.
Attorney Gloria Allred is pushing back against R. Kelly's lawyer's assertion that the women who have accused the R&B singer of sexually abusing them are lying.
Last week, after years of allegations of sexual misconduct and physical and emotional abuse, the R&B singer was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He started up a relationship with another alleged victim, also a minor, while he was on trial for child pornography charges.
Another alleged victim, also 16, asked for his autograph outside a court hearing for his 2008 child pornography trial.
The incidents, in which three of the alleged victims were minors, took place between 1998 and 2010.

The "I Believe I Can Fly" hitmaker, who is facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting four women, three of whom were reportedly underage at the time, now remains in jail until his team hand over his bail payment of $100,000.
R. Kelly has been released from a Chicago jail after spending the weekend behind bars on sex abuse charges. "Mr. Kelly is strong, he's got a lot of support and he's going to be vindicated on all these charges - one by one if it has to be", Greenberg said. It was unclear whether any of the apparently more than two dozen GoFundMe accounts started to raise money for the disgraced singer's bail were used to free Kelly.
"Innocent help bring the king home!" said one campaign.
Avenatti earlier this month had given Chicago prosecutors approximately 40 minutes of previously unreleased footage of Kelly allegedly having sex with a teenager.
A fourth charge is based on a videotape that purportedly shows Kelly and a 14-year-old girl engaged in sexual acts, according to prosecutors.
In response to that possibility, Greenberg told reporters Friday after Kelly's arrest that "Double jeopardy should bar that case".
