During a hearing Saturday, prosecutors detailed the crimes Kelly is accused of committing, which allegedly took place between 1998 and 2010. Kelly was released after Love, who is 47 and from Romeoville, Illinois, made the payment on Monday.
Kelly posted bail Monday and was set for imminent release from jail after pleading not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse against four victims, three of them minors.
Kelly, whose legal name is Robert Kelly, was acquitted of child pornography charges in 2008. In January, Lifetime debuted the six-part docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly", in which several women were interviewed and said the musician abused them. It contained allegations of abuse from many women including the star's former wife.
Embattled singer R. Kelly, who is facing 10 counts of sexual abuse, walked out of a Chicago jail Monday and headed to a nearby McDonald's. He was only able to post 10% of the amount because his "finances are a mess" claims his lawyer, Steven Greenberg.
Defense attorney Steve Greenberg previously said Kelly "really doesn't have any money".
"At one point, it is revealed that R. Kelly is seen choking the girl while having anal intercourse, " it said.
News of R. Kelly's release came hours after attorney Michael Avenatti, a lawyer for two of the alleged victims, announced the existence of even more sex tapes featuring the music icon and underage girls.
Prosecutors say the victims include a teenager whom Kelly met when she sought an autograph during his previous trial on child pornography charges, another whom he met at her 16th birthday party and his hairdresser, who was then 24.
The video was about 55 minutes long, dated from around 2000 and also showed a 14-year-old girl, though he did not make clear whether it was the same girl as in the first video.
The attorney said he has learned of a third tape but did not provide details about it.
-This item has been corrected to reflect that Avenatti did not say whether the two videos he turned over to the authorities depict the same girl.
The singer, who wore an orange prison jumpsuit in court, identified himself to the judge at the start of the hearing, but did not speak again during the proceedings.
