Organizers of the NY premiere of Cold Pursuit informed journalists that interviews and photo opportunities had been cancelled on Tuesday afternoon, a couple hours before the event was supposed to start.
As you may already know, actor Liam Neeson is now feeling some backlash for saying that he wanted to kill a "black bastard" out of revenge for a black man allegedly raping one of his friends.
"I went out deliberately into black areas in the city, looking to be set upon", he said Tuesday.
"It shocked me and it hurt me ..."
"I did seek help, I went to a priest who heard my confession".
He explained that this is why he chose to speak out about prowling the streets with a weapon and said: "Violence breeds violence".
The red carpet at the premiere of Liam Neeson's newest film was abruptly cancelled amid fallout from the actor's comments about decades-old thoughts he had about killing a black person. She said he was a black man. Why do you think that unlike Grace [Neeson's character's wife in the film], he's unable to do the internal work of moving on and taking that distance that she does?
Yet the social media backlash has continued unabated.
Describing what motivated him to try to attack a black man he told GMA: 'Nearly 40 years ago when a very dear friend of mine was brutally raped and I was out of the country and when I came back she told me about it. "I was trying to show honour to my, stand up for my dear friend in this awful, medieval fashion", Neeson said.

Mos-Shogbamimu urged people to get past the issue of whether or not Neeson is racist and focus on the societal reasons why this was Neeson's reaction and what it represents about society we live in.
"We appreciate that he said something really real, and he wants the United States of America to face what we won't discuss", she said on her show.
Another celebrity to defend Neeson was John Barnes after Piers Morgan slammed the Taken star for the comments.
"A week in his life.where he had dark thoughts.he felt ashamed.and learned".
"It's not about race, it's about revenge".
But still, others are not letting Neeson off the hook.
"Liam Neeson was delivering a cautionary tale". In fact, he absolutely revealed what births a white supremacist.
"What they're actually doing is the exact same thing they're accusing Liam Neeson of doing".
