Lee Radziwill, a former princess, interior decorator and younger sister of the late Jackie Kennedy, has died. The Associated Press left messages Saturday and Sunday for the family.
During the "60s, Radziwill and her older sister Jackie were considered the 'it" girls of the decade thanks to their savvy fashion sense and elegant style.
They were confidantes as young women, and Radziwill was a frequent guest at the White House during President John F. Kennedy's administration. But for many, she will always be the little sister of Jackie Kennedy.
Radziwiłł married three times - to publisher Michael Canfield, a marriage that was annulled by the Roman Catholic Church; to Polish aristocrat Stanislaw Radziwill, a union that ended in divorce but that bestowed upon her the title of Her Serene Highness Princess Stanisław Albrecht Radziwiłł; and to director Herbert Ross, to whom she remained Wednesday until immediately before his death in 2001.
Her first marriage was to Michael Canfield in 1953. After all, she counted Truman Capote as an early friend and champion and married Prince Stanisław Albrecht Radziwill in 1959.

She is also known for her supposed rivalry with her older sister. She had three careers, starting off with a brief but failed stint as an actress during the 1960s.
"She had to travel a lot and liked to have me with her", Ms. Radziwill wrote in Happy Times, a memoir published in 2001, seven years after her sister's death. The following year, she was again with Jackie when she was invited to lunch at the Palace.
Tragically, her son Anthony died in 1999 from cancer.
In 1988, she married film director and choreographer Herbert Ross, later telling the New York Times, "He was certainly different from anybody else I'd been involved with, and the film world sounded exciting". The first marriage was annulled and the second and third ended in divorce.
While married to Canfeld, she had an affair with Stas Radziwell and they later married, bestowing on her the title of "princess", WWD said.
