SINGAPORE, Oct 23 -A tenacious Caroline Wozniacki revived her WTA Finals title defence with a third set masterclass against Petra Kvitova today, leaving the former Wimbledon champion's Singapore campaign in ruins. It's a break for Karolina, and then to hold for me and few errors. That's why I'm very happy with that.

"You never know what is going to happen against Petra".

Elina Svitolina, Ukraine's No.1 tennis player defeated Czech Karolina Pliskova in the ongoing WTA event in Singapore.

Kvitova has now lost both her matches and needs results to go her way in the White Group to stay afloat in the season-finale. "I was just out there, had the belief and fought to the end".

I didn't think I played badly in the second set and I just had to stay focused.

Wozniacki broke at the first time of asking with a double-backhand pass at the end of a majestic rally and, with Kvitova - who is asthmatic - visibly struggling with her breathing at a change of ends, a break of love followed to establish a 4-1 lead.

Trump says USA ready to bolster nuclear arsenal after vowing treaty pullout

Jamal Khashoggi killing premeditated, says Saudi prosecutor
British Prime Minister Theresa May said its Saudi arms sales were "under review", a stance similar to that expressed by Australia. Prince Mohammed on Wednesday made his first public comments since his government admitted Khashoggi had been killed.

Kvitova attacked the net in an effort to shorten the points against the fast-moving Wozniacki and earned two break points in the match's opening game.

Now Thursday, October 25, Svitolina will meet Wozniacki, and Plskova with Kvitova.

During the whole match Pliskova hit 33 winners to 28 unforced errors, while Svitolina ended up with a 29-18 record. The results mean all four players are still in contention to advance to the semifinals from the White Group.

On Wednesday, the last three US Opens champions will be on court. "Naomi I played like only three or two years ago once, so I think it's nice to just face some different opponents now". If the match ends in straight sets, the victor will advance out of the round robin stage.

"But we are finding this balance and for me it's very important, to have someone like this, and I think I'm very lucky to have him in my team".

"It's so long ago, so I think like in this group, which I like, I haven't played Sloane for a few years also". "I don't remember the match at all, honestly, but I remember that I lost".
