Video footage shows a salon employee using a broom to attack an upset customer. Nail salon worker Li Lin claims that Thomas punched and slapped her in the face, and dragged her on the floor, suffering several lacerations to the face and substantial neck pain.
Officers had gone to the salon to arrest a second employee, but that worker was not there at the time.
The brawl happened at New Red Apple Nail at 1426 Nostrand Ave.in East Flatbush after a customer refused to pay either part of or all of her bill following an apparently botched eyebrow treatment.
Huiyue Zheng, 32, was charged with assault and weapon possession. Cops say she was released following a hearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
Video of the attack was posted to social media and prompted protests outside the salon on Monday. However, the customers said they already paid for the pedicures.
