A single Essentials line is $60 per month, while adding a second is another $30 per month.
T-Mobile Essentials "is designed for those who say they just want the basics: unlimited talk, text and smartphone data in the US", T-Mobile said.
It's not often that T-Mobile introduces a whole new rate plan, but today that's exactly what the carrier has done.
The most alarming aspect of the Essentials plan is T-Mobile's admission that "during times and places with heavy network demand, Essentials customers may notice slower speeds than other customers" and further reduction if using more than 50GB of data per month. T-Mo also says that if you switch to the new plan, you will lose discounts on service like free line promotions, but you can keep most device promos when you're getting monthly bill credits.
No changes are being made to the earlier T-Mobile One and One Plus plans.
Ricciardo: My toughest ever decision
As recently as this midweek following the two-day test at Hungary, Ricciardo had indicated a new deal with Red Bull was imminent. It will be interesting to see if Red Bull's team orders now favour Max Verstappen, who will be their main driver from next year.
Gerrard denied win in Scottish league debut
Celtic, the big rival of Rangers, began the defence of its league title with a 3-1 win over Livingston on Saturday. It is a tough one to take but we should be incredibly proud of today.
Violent Weekend Leaves at Least Five Dead, Dozens Injured Across Chicago
The man suffered gunshot wounds to his body and neck and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The hospital, however, denied this but acknowledged the "unusually high volume of patients" over a 24-hour period.
T-Mobile Essentials will be available beginning August 10th. Without the latter, each line will be $5 per month more. T-Mobile will begin offering the plan on Friday.
T-Mobile has a new smartphone plan focusing on the holy trifecta: unlimited calls, messaging, and data, and very little else. Essentials doesn't include things like a free Netflix plan or the ability to use data internationally. For $10 more, users get 1080p video and 10 GB of hotspot data before dropping to 3G. This one costs less than the others, but also offers less.
As a result, T-Mobile's big boast with its Essentials plan is that you can get four lines for $30 per line. The other options debuted many months ago.
If you want unlimited calling, and 512 MB of up to 4G LTE data, in those countries, you can buy a $5/day 24 Hour Global Pass. The price of T-Mobile One Plus will also be increasing, going to $15 per month for a single line.
