A dead fetus was reportedly discovered by cleaning crews inside a toilet aboard an American Airlines plane at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Tuesday, according to WNBC.
The disturbing discovery was made in the bathroom of an American Airlines plane that had landed Monday night in New York City from Charlotte, North Carolina.
The American Airlines' jet had originated in Charlotte and had been parked in a hangar when the foetus was discovered early on Tuesday morning, the station said.
Fetus was thought to be 5 months along.
The Office of NYC Medical Examiner issued a statement to PIX11, saying "We're investigating what we believe to be a human fetus found deceased on an airplane".
