CNN has reached out to Lovato's representative for comment.
"I have not said anything about this situation until now because her recovery has been of the most importance", the note read. "I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now, and will continue to be because she means the world to me just as she does to all of you".
Lovato and Vitale have been friends for years, and Vitale's social media is filled with pics of the two women together, and sometimes they are on stage performing.
Lovato was obviously proud of her work with Martin and has shared her Jiu-Jitsu achievements on Instagram over the past few months.
"There is no need for any negativity towards the ones who care about Demi at this time", Vitale added in her note. "There is too much of it in this world as it is". "Remember that you have always been a community of Lovatics who LOVE", Vitale said.
Tom Hardy Unleashes His Inner Beast in New Ultra-Violent ‘Venom’ Trailer
We're hoping that in showing off more of the film's star attraction, the studio didn't just reveal more of Venom's weaknesses. Sony teased a new trailer for Venom at the San Diego Comic Con last week, and that trailer has now been released worldwide.

One week after being hospitalized for overdosing on drugs at her home in Hollywood Hills, Demi Lovato remains "very ill" and in no shape to be discharged anytime soon, according to a new report from TMZ published early this morning.
Reports originally suggested she was "getting better", but on Monday it was reported that she was still in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center six days after suffering from the suspected drug overdose due to "complications" which include extreme nausea and a high fever.
Though doctors haven't approved her hospital release, another source close to Demi said, "She is under the care of medical experts and is expected to make a full recovery".
Multiple sources have reportedly told editors at the website that they have no idea how she will take the news that she needs to go to a facility, with one saying, "We just don't know where her head is at".
Lovato has been to rehab before, back in 2010 (she said at the time it was for an eating disorder), so perhaps she'll be receptive to it when she does get well enough to seriously have the conversation.
