Last week, militants launched a series of suicide attacks in Sweida, killing at least 100 people, most of whom were pro-Syrian government fighters.
The remote village suffered some of the deadliest violence from Wednesday's attacks, with more than 60 civilians killed there, Radwan said.
"At least 36 Druze women and children were abducted after the attacks", said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitor with a network of sources inside Syria.
The jihadists are demanding the release by the Syrian government "of detained IS-linked people, whose numbers are now being negotiated", said Radwan.
IS has been driven from virtually all the territory it once controlled in Syria and Iraq, but holds scattered pockets of territory in southern Syria and along the border.
"The massacres were massive, and so is the pain". She said if the demands were not met the militants would kill the captives.
Damascus also controls nearly all of the country's southwestern territory, including Sweida, but pockets of IS elements remain present and active in rural desert areas to the north and east.

Syrian state news agency SANA said Monday it expected the group would collapse "within days" but made no mention of negotiations.
That has left just three villages under IS contol in Daraa, said the Observatory, but there are fears that hundreds of extremists may have slipped away unharmed.
Since its bloody rise in 2014, IS has carried out multiple mass abductions in Syria and Iraq, including of minorities.
Photographs taken of 14 of the hostages in front of the black Isil flag were released on Friday and sent to their families.
The government now controls almost the whole of southwest Syria after pushing into the Daraa and Quneitra provinces last month in a campaign against opposition forces and IS militants.
