Porn actress Stormy Daniels was arrested at an OH strip club and is accused of letting patrons touch her in violation of a state law, her attorney said early Thursday. It reeks of desperation. "This was a setup and politically motivated".
While Daniels was performing at Sirens, a strip club in Columbus, some patrons touched her in a "non-sexual" way, her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, told The Associated Press. "We will fight all bogus charges".
Columbus police have not confirmed any arrest, and neither have Siren's Gentlemen's Club.
The porn star, who allegedly had an affair with President Donald Trump in 2006 while he was married to Melania Trump, was reportedly taken into custody for behaving inappropriately while on stage.
Avenatti expected her to be released on bail shortly and vowed to "vehemently contest all charges", he tweeted.
"They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this?"

Investigators found tiny punctures in the rubber seals of the bags, indicating that the antiseptic had been injected into them. Kubo told investigators she did not like the responsibility of telling a patient's family a loved one had passed away.
The Ohio strip club law prohibiting the touching of dancers, the Community Defense Act, was proposed by a Cincinnati-based conservative religious organization and approved in 2007.
"We are highly confident that in the unlikely event that the district attorney proceeds with charges that she will be found not guilty", Avenatti said.
'This was an absolute setup, ' he said.
Through White House officials, Mr Trump has denied the affair, although Mr Cohen has admitted paying Daniels as part of the agreement.
A defamation lawsuit was also filed in April, alleging the President tried to tarnish her reputation and credibility by dismissing her claim a man threatened her in 2011, when she was ready to go public about her alleged affair with Trump.
CNN has reached out to the Columbus Police Department for additional information.
