British rescue diver threatens Elon Musk with lawsuit for 'pedo' tweet

Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Twitter this morning accused British diver Vern Unsworth of being a pedophile, after Unsworth criticized Musk's proposal to use a small submarine to rescue a trapped soccer team in Thailand.
The diver called Musk's mini submarine - created to transport the trapped children through the tunnel - a "PR stunt" because it had "absolutely no chance of working".
"It just had absolutely no chance of working", Unsworth said in a widely shared interview.
In a string of weird, now deleted tweets, Musk said he was working on producing a video to prove his submarine could have reached the children.
"Never saw this British expat guy who lives in Thailand (sus) at any point when we were in the caves", he wrote.
"He's just a PR stunt merchant - that's all he is", Mr Unsworth added. We will make one of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problems.
Musk hit back on Twitter, claiming his mini-submarine would have worked and describing Unsworth as a "pedo guy".
On Sunday, when a Twitter user pointed out that Musk was "calling the guy who found the children a pedo", the billionaire responded: "Bet ya a signed dollar it's true".
Unsworth was shocked by the allegations Musk laid against him, telling he was "astonished and very angry" at the attack.
Neither Musk nor Unsworth responded to Fox News' requests for comment.
He also said he'd make a decision regarding legal action later this week when he returns to the United Kingdom.
Huffington Post senior reporter Ashley Feinberg, meanwhile, wondered if Musk would ever acknowledge his silently deleted tweets.
"Just to get any of them out alive would have been a miracle", Unsworth told CNN.
Unsworth, was among the first cave divers on the scene in Mae Sai after the boys from the Wild Boars football team and their coach became trapped inside on June 23.
It may be a exhausted comparison, but attacking people on Twitter with baseless accusations like Musk did this morning by calling one of the Thai rescue divers "pedo guy" has sealed the deal.
He also helped Thai authorities get in touch with British experts who took part in the rescue.
Australian divers Craig Challen and Richard Harris have returned home after the Thai rescue. Sometimes white guys visit Thailand to show off their useless submarines.
Elon Musk is known to have his meltdown moments on Twitter from time to time.
