MLVS (
http://www.mlvs.org/open/index.html) has provided language skills, vocational courses, and social services to the Latino and other communities in the Mission District of San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area for over 42 years.
MLVS in collaboration with the Unified School District of San Francisco (SFUSD), is offering an after school tutorial program focusing on 6th to 8th grade students who have recently arrived in the United States. Likewise, the program will also concentrate on students already enrolled in migrant middle schools. The program’s primary purpose is to facilitate personal and academic achievement. Similarly, informative workshops will be offered based on the United States educational system and resources available within the community. In addition to providing individual guidance and individual academic support the program will be offering free classes in:
• English
• Mathematics
• Computer Technology
• Public Speaking
• Excellent Study Habits

MLVS will be hosting informational sessions for Parents and or Guardians who are interested in having their children participate in the program. These sessions will take place every Tuesday from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. or 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at MLVS 2929-19th Street, SF, CA at (Florida and Alabama Streets).
