Sony has unveiled the latest addition to its flagship series of Xperia smartphones, the Xperia 5. Ahead of its event, the Japanese smartphone maker had accidentally revealed its new compact smartphone in what appears to be a test live stream and we can now confirm that it's going to be called the Sony Xperia 5. Sony says the Xperia 5 will be available for pre-order in Europe next week and is expected to begin shipping sometime next month.
We've yet to learn whether the phone will be available in the U.S. or Australia. Coupled with Sony's audio technologies including Hi-Res Audio, DSEE HX™ for digital up-scaling and LDAC for wireless audio, and immersive Dolby Atmos®, Xperia 5 provides a mesmerising sound experience. The phone packs a 6.1-inch HDR-compatible OLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixel. Also, the "Game enhancer" features improved recording features. It first introduced the idea on the Xperia 1, and since a variety of competitors have copied the idea.
With the screen becoming smaller, Sony made a decision to cut down the resolution as well. It'll come in four colors: black, white, blue and red. It's now unclear what territories will get which colors, but it's the red particularly struck our eye as a unique shade.
Finally, you've got IP68 water and dust resistance here, which is good to see.
Overall, the Xperia 5 feels like a premium device that can match the Xperia 1 in its looks but it's unclear if this device will actually be easier for those who prefer smaller devices.
The Xperia 5 phone goes on sale in Europe in October but as yet we don't have a U.S. release date. Under the hood, the phone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform, an X24 LTE Modem, 6 GB RAM, and a 3,140 mAh battery running Android 9 Pie.Читайте также: GP's defection leaves the Government without a working majority
There's 128GB of storage on the phone as standard, which you can extend by up to 512GB more with a microSD card. The Xperia 5 equally comes with DualShock support for haptic gaming on Fortnite. This means you will be able to juice up the device quickly even if it runs out of power during the day. It packs three 12MP sensors, including a primary 12MP Exmor RS sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
Sony has yet to offer any estimates on how long the battery will last on the Xperia 5, but we know it's a 3140mAh cell inside the phone. However, Sony is keeping the phone's price tag a secret for now though and there is also no indication that the Xperia 5 will be making its way to Malaysia too.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
