NYU graduate Yang appeared on the show opposite host Sandra Oh last series as North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un.

Gillis was recognized this year as a New Face at the Just for Laughs Festival. Yang is one half of the runaway hit podcast Las Culturistas which has become a genuine cultural phenomenon. They will be joining returning cast members Beck Bennett, Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwoodim, Chris Redd, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, and Melissa Villaseñor.
Fineman, who has been a member of the Groundlings, has credits that include Search Party and Jane the Virgin.
In a clip (embedded below) from "Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast", dated September 2018 and brought to light on Twitter by freelance writer Seth Simons, Gillis refers to "the f-king ch-nks" while riffing with cohost Matt McCusker on Chinatown's architecture and restaurants.
