After teasing it on social media for the past few days, Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy have announced the Hella Mega 2020 Tour, with a stop at Comerica Park!
The Hella Mega tour will include eight European dates, the last of which will be held at the Ballsbridge venue.
As the above image indicates, Green Day are in the headline position, with Fall Out Boy second and Weezer third on the bill.
For Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, the tour is a throwback to his teenager years: "To me, I remember, in the 90s, there was this one summer, and Guns N' Roses, Metallica went on the stadium tour and my parents didn't let me go to it".
To launch the tour, all three bands will perform a historic show at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. You want to recreate that memory.
All three artists have announced upcoming albums that will drop prior to the tour, and each released a new single to coincide with the announcement: Green Day's "Father of All..." They also each released new music and will release new albums. Wyclef Jean will be featured on their forthcoming record Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die - Volume Two, out November 15.
