There's a "slight" risk of severe storms in most of North Jersey. As the storms increase in numbers it will then evolve into a damaging wind threat here late night.

An isolated strong storm is possible, but the better chance for severe weather is south of us in IL and Iowa where they are under the enhanced risk for severe weather. If storms develop in the afternoon, they will have the potential to be severe with hail up to the size of quarters or more, torrential rainfall leading to flash flooding and winds over 60MPH.
Storms will begin in western IL and southeast Iowa and initially pose a tornado threat.
The main line of storms look to push through in the late lunchtime hours and continue through the area in the early, mid and late afternoon.
By Monday night, storms are likely to reach the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley regions.
