According to Turkey's NTV television channel, the convoy of Turkish armored vehicles was dispatched from observation station number 7 in Idlib to reinforce observation station number 9, which was in the center of the Syrian government army's offensive.
Turkey's Defence Ministry said the military convoy was attacked en route to one of its observation posts in the northwest.
Turkey's private DHA news agency said Syrian government planes targeted the route of a Turkish military convoy carrying reinforcement vehicles and personnel.
"Turkish vehicles loaded with munitions. are heading toward Khan Sheikhun to help the terrorists. which confirms once again the support provided by the Turkish regime to terrorist groups", a foreign ministry source quoted by the state news agency SANA said.
