It's hard to listen to "Lover" without getting serious wedding vibes; fans even wondered if Taylor was hinting at an engagement when she previously released lyrics from the song referencing the "something borrowed, something blue" motif. In "Slide Away", she sings, "I want my house in the Hills / Don't want the whiskey and pills / I don't give up easily / But I don't think I'm down /So won't you slide away?"
