The agency said it wanted the band's members to use their "extended period of rest and relaxation" to "recharge and refresh as musicians and creators".
BTS' manager Big Hit Entertainment said in a statement that the record-breaking K-Pop band would "enjoy their daily lives as normal 20-something young men, albeit briefly", for the first time since they entered the music scene in 2013.
BTS' performance Sunday at the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert in South Korea was slated to be the group's last "before the members prepare to take their vacations".
Members of the boy band have also been working on side projects, in addition to their main jobs with BTS.
The agency didn't say when BTS will perform again.
According to Variety, due to popular demand, BTS's first movie Burn The Stage's second running knocked out One Direction: Where We Are movie's attendance record after reaching two million ticket sales, grossing $14million (more than R213million).

BTS has a large global following and was the first K-pop act to debut atop the Billboard Album chart previous year with "Love Yourself: Tear".
And as of 2019, K-Pop group BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan (which translates as Bulletproof Boy Scouts) has been dubbed "the biggest boy band in the world".
Big Hit also reminded the fans to show consideration for the members' need to rest in case they had a chance encounter with one of them.
"BTS is setting a good precedent for other K-pop groups in that they are taking an official break from their hectic schedule", Ha Jae-keun, a pop culture expert in Seoul, told ABC News.
Fans are no doubt gutted about the boys' decision to take a break, but the band have been in the spotlight for a lot longer than you may have first thought.
