Body camera video shows a police officer shooting a 65-year-old Oklahoma woman with a stun gun after she allegedly refused to sign a ticket for a broken taillight, drove away and then kicked the officer while she is taken into custody. "You wouldn't get out and then you tried to kick me".
Hamil was later charged with assaulting an officer (felony) and resisting (misdemeanor). When he asked her to sign a ticket saying she owed $80 for driving with the defective equipment, she refused.
Hamil has not responded to media requests for comment.
"Well I don't want to sign because I don't want to do $80", Hamil says in the video.
"Do you realize you just got yourself in a whole lot more trouble", the officer asked Hamil after placing her in handcuffs. She has pleaded not guilty. The officer then told her not to drive away.
"So you don't even give a warning for this?" she says.
In the video, the officer is seen dragging her out, flinging her to the ground.
