With PC over 24% up, it's now ahead of PS4 (31%), Xbox One (18%), Nintendo Switch (5%), and mobile games (7%). Interestingly, while Ubisoft has had recent success with a number of its major multiplatform games, it attributed the PC surge primarily to the strength of the strategy game Anno 1800. They also say that 34% of that income is from PC, up from 24% from the same period a year ago. "But even with that launch, we had a very good performance on PC overall".
Anno 1800 is on the market on the Epic Video games Retailer and never Steam, however CFO Frédérick Duguet cited its efficiency on Ubisoft's personal Uplay Retailer as notably noteworthy.
Guillemot alluded to a similar point in his response to a question about the performance of The Division 2 on EGS, in which he was clearly more enthusiastic about Ubisoft's storefront than Epic's.
"We will not give a lot data on that as a result of we've got been with [Epic] for a short while now", he stated.
