White House National Security Council spokesperson Garrett Marquis has slammed Iran's enrichment plans as "nuclear blackmail" that must be met with "increased global pressure".
"Iran's enrichment plans are only possible because the terrible nuclear deal left the their capabilities intact".
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the worldwide community should reinstate sanctions if Iran follows through on its threats, adding: "In any case, Israel will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons". "The regime's nuclear blackmail must be met with increased global pressure", he said.
But Iran contends that the other nations have not done enough to maximize the economic benefits of sanctions relief while adhering to the nuclear program limits on both the amount of enriched uranium it can hold as well as the level to which it can enrich the material.
