The Derby boss, who enjoyed a trophy-laden 13-year spell as a player at Stamford Bridge, has held initial discussions about replacing Sarri this summer.
However, Chelsea chiefs are reportedly making last-minute moves to ensure Sarri reconsiders his stand, after guiding the west London dwellers to a third-place finish in the Premier League alongside winning the Europa League.
Despite a strong first year in England, Sarri's preferred style of play and stubborn selection policy has drawn criticism in certain quarters, with exit talk swirling since Christmas.
The defender's stock has risen in the market and Maurizio Sarri's impending move to Juventus has triggered speculation that the Italian champions also want to sign Emerson from Chelsea. I know it's a smaller club but we have seen him do it.
