The British band on Tuesday released hours of previously unheard music that it said was stolen by someone seeking ransom. For the next 18 days, purchases of Radiohead's MINIDISCS [HACKED] on Bandcamp-for a minimum donation of £18 (or $22.81)-will go toward global conservation movement Extinction Rebellion.
Fans can buy the music for £18 (about $30 Cdn) for the next 18 days.
"Instead of complaining-much-or ignoring it, we're releasing all 18 hours on Bandcamp in aid of Extinction Rebellion", Radiohead write in a social media statement, naming the environmental activist group as the beneficiary.
The MiniDisc recordings, titled "MD111" through "MD128", were, according to Greenwood, "Never intended for public consumption... only tangentially interesting".

From now until June 28th, you'll be able to spend £18 ($23) to, in the words of Greenwood "find out if we should have paid that ransom".
