Henderson played alongside 2015 victor Lexi Thompson and defending champion So Yeon Ryu the first two days.
Annie Park was 9 under with a hole left when play was suspended because of darkness. "I am upright in actual fact angry for the rest of the summer and optimistically many extra wins within the long poke".
"That's so special and so incredible", Henderson said in the tournament interview area after her round. On the 18th tee, she needed a par or better to win the tournament. "Earlier this year to bag my eighth take and to tie that file changed into a huge deal for me. I had a good warmup and just felt good and came out relaxed and started off with a birdie, and from there it just kind of went".
"I started off really well late last night and I was able to carry it on early this morning", said Henderson, who won this tournament two years ago. "I hit two great shots on that final hole and it was a putt that I liked the looks of, so I was like, 'Just make it, just get it to the hole, ' and it went in".
Thompson followed her course-record 62 in the third round with a 68, closing with an eagle for the second successive day.
With nine career titles, she became the winningest Canadian golfer in pro history among men and women, passing fellow countrymates George Knudson, Sandra Post and Mike Weir, who all have eight. And this course, you know there's a lot of birdies out there, so it's going to take a low score.
Thompson, who won last week in New Jersey, had an eagle, 10 birdies and two bogeys.Читайте также: Aston Martin Confirms the Valkyrie Will Race at Le Mans
Thompson turned it around with four birdies on No. 10, 12, 13 and 15, closing in on the lead.
"With these soft conditions, you can take it pretty much right at it, which I've been doing".
Annie Park has missed five cuts in her last six starts, even failing to defend her title at last week's ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer, where she became a Rolex First-Time victor in 2018.
"I was just trying to make some more birdies out there and I just seemed to be rubbing edges all day", said Henderson. "You know, the last two days I haven't struck it to my capability and what I've been working on in my game, but today, it kind of all fell together". This week, she enters the final round of the Meijer LPGA Classic just two strokes behind Brooke Henderson's lead. Mariajo Uribe, Giulia Molinaro and Haru Nomura also aced the 15th in the first round, and Lindy Duncan had one on No. 7 in the second round.
"Overall, it's been good with shots, short game, putting", Park said.
"I had about 197 into the last hole and a little into the wind, so it's a flawless number for a full 4-iron".
Hataoka shot 65, also making an eagle on the par-5 18th.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
